Autolite 4300.. can be had in 440, 600, and 715 cfm...

The 715 is a spreadbore where as the former are square bore carbs.

Q1... is it a square bore or a spread bore? If a spread bore, then 715 cfm. If square, then it is either a 440 or 600 cfm carb.

Q2... does the carb have a clockface stamping/casting with "1.01" or "1.25"? It is usually found on the driver's side of the main body of the carb. If 1.01 then it is 440 cfm. If 1.25, then it is a 600 cfm.

Easy as pie, right?

It might not have a clockface casting...

But here is more info FWIW... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autolite_4300_carburetor
According to the posted info, a square bore 4300 (OK, nearly square bore) from 1972 would make it a 600 cfm.

Looks like a Motorcraft/Autolite 4300 spreadbore. probably 600 CFM.
