Driveshaft center support/carrier bearing

2008 Lariat 4 x 4 long wheelbase
I had been noticing a little bit of slip or free play when I would Excelerat from a stop, Saturday I took my truck to the Ford house for a oil change and ask them to look at it they told me that I needed the center support for the driveshaft my interpretation is carrier bearing? My question is is this something that I can do myself ? The Ford house wants nearly $600 to do this ! Thank you in advance!

Mark every end you disconnect with a paint marker so you can put them back in the same position, a driveshaft shop can replace the carrier bearing as it will be pressed on. Shouldn't cost more than $100.00 or so, unless you have the u joints replaced.
