64 F100 Shop Truck Build Thread

That was some of the reason I changed everything to the Race-Technology dash. Despite it being heavily modified, I often get people that don't think it's much more than a cool "rat rod" or "patina truck" until they look closely or someone that really looks at details can see what's going on. So this was both functional (since I can see and use SO much more data now) and asthetic for those that just take a quick look at it, it sets off something that makes them question what really going on. I absolutely love confusing people...it's probably the biggest reason I do certain things...I love blowing people's mind.

Thanks guys! I've had lots of fun with this truck, both building and driving it. I am no where near done though! I have plenty more ideas for so stay tuned.
I love my Syncrowave 300, its big and heavy, but it welds so nice! I fill my shop with older equipment. The old stuff just seems to work forever.

Dude,
I REALLY appreciate all the hard work you've put into your '64!!! It's freakin' awesome!!!
I'm working on a "Shop Truck / Rust-O-Mod" '64 too and keeping track of the build. Just getting ready to put a pair of RideTech adjustable Coil-overs on my Crown Vic front end. I cut my springs and it feels like I have rocks for springs now! Any reason you didn't go with RideTech? Just want to spend my money wisely - working on a school teacher budget! Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Sandy (AKA Surfcanada)

Thanks for the kind words! I am actually planning to build my own front coil over kit for the front end. It'll use a ViKing double adjustable coilover like I run in the rear of my truck. The only reason it hasn't happened yet is just because of time. I have had pretty much no time the last few months. However I think that may be the next upgrading coming. We will see though, I have a few new ideas I'd like to do!

No it's not in the stock column location. I filled that hole and made a new one higher up right above where the firewall joints the floor. I didn't do this for any reason other than: I hate how upright the steering column is in the stock front solid axle trucks. I hate feeling like I'm straddling a steering column while driving. I wanted it to feel more like a car and moving the column where it now exits the cab did just that.

Well I did some new things on the truck. The most important is that now I'm building and selling a complete bolt in Coilover Kit for the 03+ Crown Vic front subframes. Unlike the other garbage on the market these are a double adjustable Vi-King coilover (compression and rebound 19 different settings each). Your choice of spring rates, and fully tig welded and powdercoated upper brackets. Really happy with how these came out and have 20 sets sold already. And for the pictures.

Because the coilover kit has the ability to lower the truck so much (it can go lower than I can turn the wheels to actually drive) I decided the camber bolt kit that is sold currently is too expensive and I could build one better and cheaper. So now I also have a camber bolt kit I am going to be selling for anyone that has lowered their CV setup a ton and wants better camber numbers. These are all getting zinc plated next week
