Hi and thank you in advance for any help you can give me. For a while now, when I try to start up my truck the engine would turn over but not ignite. Now, when I turn the key it's silent. No click, no sound at all. The battery is fine, it's been checked and the lights, horn etc. work. If I wait a while, eventually it will start. This is pretty inconvenient as you can imagine. And I assume that one day it will not start. Can anyone shed light on this. Thanks.

 

Have you inspected/tested the starter
solenoid?

 

Maybe a failing ignition switch??? or the relay on the fender is going bad? Do 96's have the relay on the fender too?
