I have the Edge Evolution. Had that in stock form for awhile then added CAI and exhaust and had to get the tunes changed so truck wouldn't run lean.
If you have no mods the Edge will serve you well. I liked it for the fact that you can monitor different parameters of the truck such as tranny temp and coolant temp. Helps me when I tow.
Just search for edge evolution and it will be for 04-08 years. Comes with a mounting pod that sits on the left side of dash.
Others use SCT tuners but I have no experience and can't comment on them.

Bolt On:
Internal work:
your best bang for the buck is going to be tuning and regear. your current truck has a 85-100 hp loss through the drivetrain (typically 210 RWHP when dyno'd). Tuning will correct alot of that with the transmission and get you around 230-240 RWHP. Regearing is going to make your truck feel like an instant +30 RWHP. The mechanical advantage is amazing...and as a side bonus, many guys actually see better MPG's in the city since the motor is working less
the 5.4 3v is a great motor. wish I still had one. I've had 5 of the modular motors...I do at least have the older/bigger brother...the mighty 6.8
- SCT Tuner
- Full Exhaust
- CAI (waste of money, but sounds/looks cool)
- regear to 4.30 or 4.56
Internal work:
- CMCC Deletes (get rid of the butterfuly CMCC crap for free flowing heads)
- Detroit Rocker Cams (Brenspeed) or the FRPP Hot Rod Cams (good for about +30 rwhp)
- Supercharger (instant +100 to 150 rearwheel horsepower)
