Just what the title says. I know that everyone loves the turbos, but I'm having enough trouble with my ATS that I just want to go to reliable low powered diesel grunt. Anyone have any tips? The internet is not friendly to removing ponies.

 

Where are you located, and how much do you want for the kit?

That being said, basically it should be the reverse of putting on a Banks kit:
1. Remove your turbo, up pipe, down pipe and air bits.
2. Fabricate or find exhaust pipes to hook up to the manifold.
3. Add a stock air cleaner "soup bowl"
4. Turn down the IP's fuel screw until it's not smoking(much) at WOT, full load.

 

I'm going to assume the OP has a truck, but he never clarified. If he has a van, then he can subtract the soup bowl from macrobb's instructions.

 

Don't forget to replace the cdr. It mounts in the same place as the turbo pedestal, using the same grommet.
If you want to keep the cdr in its current location or if you have an RDT, then just plug the holes in the valley pan and rear of the intake.

 

What kind of turbo problems are you having that you want to take it off? Basically you will need the exhaust Y and an air cleaner.
