whistle from blower motor

Lately I've been hearing a whistle that is proportional to the front blower motor speed, except I hear it behind the cluster area. Gets louder as the blower motor increases. Turn the climate control off and the noise goes away. No its not the blower motor I'm hearing. It kinda sounds like when you got a booger stuck just in the right spot in your nose, and it makes a whistle sound when you breathe. Any body dealt with that? The noise, not a booger, I mean.

My wife's 2011 just started making that noise. Did you ever figure out what it was?

Welcome to the forum, combination! It might be time to have your dealership listen to the noise coming from your wife's truck. How many miles are on it?

There could be some debris in the system or the blower motor's bearings could be going.

Yes, could be debris in fan, I had an Explorer with debris in fan blades. Pull blower motor and clean out.

Yeah could be. Why Ford hasn't put cabin air filters in these vehicles is beyond me
