rear axel interchangeable

Hi, I have a 01 F350 superduty SRW, and would like to know what model years can be used for a replacement? And with what modifications, if any? Is a van the same? Whole bunches of thanks, Artie

Any 99-04 srw the earlier years had a different pinion where the driveshaft connects to the axle simple to change one nut just need an impact.

I believe the vans never changed to the 8x170mm bolt pattern. Still 8x6.5. Any 99-04 10.5 axle should fit.

I would like to know know how new can I go? Would a 2011 fit? What would need to be modified, etc. Same spring perches, width, overall axle width, pinion length, pinion yoke, etc.
have read some newer trucks have larger brakes. I don't know if stock 16" would fit.
Does Ford still use the Sterling 10.5" in Superduty,s
I would like to install a complete E - locker. I also, can use the 3.55 ratio.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, Artie
