Time for new tires (tire and wheel help)
Hello,
I have a 2008 F-250 Super Duty V-10 completely stock. No lift or leveling. I'm in the market for new tires and possibly a tire and wheel combo. I hate the Factory Continental tires especially when towing. I tow a 28ft travel trailer when tanks full and completely loaded its around #8000. Sway control hitch and all and still feel uneasy and I've towed for many years. I'm blaming tires here. I was wondering what is the biggest tire I can put on truck that wont rub with factory wheels, I have mudflaps but no flares. Also if I decide to go with aftermarket wheels I want to go with gear alloy back country wheels. Here is link. Will these fit without rubbing..?
Any help is appreciated.. I'm thinking nitto terra grapplers but looking for best option for the buck.
Wheel specs below:

Do you want cool looking tires or good tires
Form over function. For good, grab Michelin and forget about everything else. They have a excellent reputation for a reason
For good looking and still decent tire, I like Goodyear and Firestone tires. The Destination/Revo is very highly rated. I've had both and they're both great tires. I currently have the Destination M/T and they are awesome
Remember that m/T's will wear quicker due to softer rubber

Thanks.
Obviously cool looking is a plus, however I really want most stability for towing my travel trailer etc.. I've just heard good on the nittos and whatnot and a buddy runs them without issue on his 06 SD diesel. but I'm open to options and mainly concerned with what aftermarket 18" wheel I can fit and tallest tire without fit or rubbing issues as well. I do not want to lift or level truck right now. not in budget. but a lil taller tire to take up some wheel well space will not hurt my feelings.

Seems like some like some tires and some have had bad luck with the same. Its a toss up. As for wheels the ones you linked seem like they would fit. They will stick out slightly over your current setup. I had to trim the fender liner slightly with a razor knife to fit 295's on a -12 offset. Stock offset is 40 I believe. You can run 35x12.50 I believe but its slightly tighter. I use my truck off road occasionally so I wanted more suspension travel at my disposal.

I'd check out the Michelin LTX AT/2 Load Range E tires, most of the Super Dutys come with these stock nowadays and they are great tires. Expensive though
Are garbage tires that come on factory Fords because these are cheap. Might be ok for highway driving if the roads are dry. Very little traction in on snow or ice. Flex with any type of load hauling.
Goodyear Dura Trac is a decent average priced tired that served me well while snow plowing.
If price is not a concern, I highly suggest the Pro Comp ATs or Xtreme MTs which I use on both 150 & 250.
