64 solid front axle and motor/trans for sale/free

Hey guys,

I have pulled the stock front suspension (solid axle and leafs) from my 64 and started with my CV front end swap. Doesn't have the steering box or arm, but does have the drum brakes and steering linkage downstream of the arm. Free to a good home, pick up only.

Also have a 292 with 3 spd trans that I have pulled for a motor/trans swap. Motor ran when removed (don't they all!) and trans shifted fine. Had a starting problem that I believe was solenoid or starter motor related. I have pulled the drivers side head to inspect the cylinder bores, so some assembly is required to run it. Cylinders look in good shape. Will need some accessories such as carb and plug wires. $500 for motor and trans, OBO, picked up.

All is located on NW side of Houston Texas. Thansk.

Anyone want this stuff? Axle will be going to the recyclers soon.

292 block may become a table or something.

PM me if you are willing to separate the transmission and it is a 3.03 with syncro on the first gear. I am in Houston now but will leave for San Antonio Thursday afternoon and could swing through Cypress.

I might be interested in the engine. Does it run? What about the trans?

I'm also looking for this truck last seen in Texas. Its a 64. Is it yours?

Yes, willing to separate motor and trans. Motor ran and trans shifted fine prior to being pulled. Take that for what it is worth though, as it is being sold as is.

Sorry, but that 64 is not mine (as far as I can tell).

I will keep an eye out for it. I travel between San Antonio and Houston most weeks and several counties north of San Antonio some weekends. I assumed someone borrowed it with out asking. I have one in Wimbledon White and it is sweet. It is worth looking for.

Anybody local interested in this stuff? Dont want to scrap the stuff, but soon on its way. Motor may get turned into yard art!

Prices are very negotiable, so make a offer on motor and trans. Motor has all parts, but is only assembled to short block now. Thanks.

I am no longer working in Houston or I would take the transmission. Are you coming to San Antonio anytime soon.

At the moment, I have no plans. I am sure a seaworld trip with the kids is in the not too distant future.

In the meantime though, I have it tucked away in the back of the garage. If you want it, and it is just a matter of picking it up, I will let it sit and collect dust for the time being.

If you were close to me I'd give the stuff a good home. Gathering parts for my rat rod project and could use most of it. Free the first rule of building a rat rod.
