Who has aftermarket mesh grills??

Looking at a grill for the rig. Like the mesh look but don't really wanna spend $1500-$2000 on grill. Found a few on ebay iin the 200-$500 range.

Here's the one I'm looking at for the cheaper grills
11 14 Ford Super Duty Black 3 5mm Mesh Billet Grille Shell Full Replacement Gril | eBay

Anybody have any experience with this grill or any others for that fact. I'd rather spend a couple hundred extra and get something I like that's durable but $1500+ for a grill seems a little steep. Especially as I just forked out $2,800 for rims and tires!!

Man that is expensive for something that doesn't really improve vehicle performance or safety. I think that's the motivation behind a lot of the DIY ones that you take the stock grille and remove the inserts. On the XLT and up (chrome) grilles they are all separable pieces anyway.

I agree that's why i'm looking at the one in the link for $300 instead. Just dunno if that one is quality enough to last or not seeing as I can't see it up close in person...

Haha, of course you would!! I'm gonna look around, research more, and get other opinions hopefully from people who have purchased...

I guess if your just looking for something different you could go with the grill inserts. Those only run around $80 with free shipping and give a more noticeable appearance.

That's basically what I want. I just want the center of the grille to be mesh and then I will have the outer Edge painted black to match the truck. I don't like the bulky look of the front grill.

I second that. If it ends up being quality I'll buy one. The cheapest quality one I've seen was 599...seems a bit pricey for what it is. this one is half that obviously...Pictures please if you buy.

What cab lights are you getting? Or did you make another thread about this and I missed it?

I priced out the OEM ones and they were pretty pricey for what you're getting.

I went with the T-Rex mesh grilles. Not cheap but very high quality. I got the lower grille too.

I'd be a little leery of one on e-Bay that says it is made out of stainless in one spot, ABS plastic in another spot and polished aluminum in yet another.

Wish they showed a picture of it on a truck. Like most things, you will probably get what you pay for.

I have this one. $400 or so depending where you buy it.

It has held up well and no problems for going on 2 yrs.
