Hey there my names mike. I recently sold my jeep and bought a 1996 f250 7.3 powerstroke with the E40D tranny. Supposedly tranny was rebuilt 20k ago. It runs and drives great, has about 250,000 miles. It has dual 5" stacks, k&n intake, and a ts 6 position chip. However it also has some issues that i really would like to adress. I am going to have this truck for a very long time, i have done research and i know the tranny is the weak link. what the truck needs is:
Shut off Solenoid, lift pump, fuel filter housing pisses fluid and the lines and pressure switch are rotted as well as that sensor located on it, power steering pump/lines, gas tanks rotted/leaking, Oil pan was previously apoxied, a left front cab mount, and drag link of pitman arm.
Basically, i do plan on upgrading this truck, but i paid more for it then i should have already, so i want to be smart and do the right thing once.
I have read about fuel bowl delete/ electronic fuel/ t500HPOP/ mods, i am just curious if this will solve my leaking issues. So im here asking the experts what they would do if they were in my shoes, im also a 21 year old college student, so order of importance is key too.
