My new Hot rod!

Haven't brought it home yet, but a friend of mine said he had an old "junky" pickup sitting in his yard he really wants gone.. So after heading over and taking a look at this "Junky" pickup, I promptly cut a deal to make one of those metal bistro tables customized for his upcoming brewery. I take it home next weekend, but I'll be going over today to go over some ideas with him and drool over the truck some more. It's a 1966 with a 352 FE, 4spd, 4.10 custom cab optioned. I think it's going to clean up real well. I just really need to find a nice 390 to build up to throw in it.

Very cool! I like the '58-'60 body style better personally...

But I'm still a bit jelly....

What a wonderful freak'n day! Hung out for several hours BS'ing and having a few pints with my pal. Got a great load of stuff to build his table from. It's going to be blast to build that project and I'm Jonesing to start on the truck! I pulled it out it's current resting place. Man that thing is cool! Talked to the guys dad and he was really happy it was going to a new home to be fixed it. Even gave me a bunch of papers and an awesome "Collectors Edition" Chiltons!

Derek, that looks like a really great original truck. It should clean up nice and with just a few minor upgrades make a great truck.

I think it's some kind of rule that old Ford trucks need to have a beat up Fel-Pro gasket box in the cab.

I know all of my old ones did!

Looks good and strait, should clean up nice. You can got a 390 crankshaft and turn that 352 in to a 390.

I thought there was a bore difference between the 390 and 352? I can't wait to get it home this weekend! Have one more extremely pesky day of work..

There's a number of parts just laying around.. said it was a fuel deliver issue.. that could be anything.. they put a new carb on back in 03, a holley of some type.. I'm going to go through this thing inside and out and get a list going and prices..

most likely the screen on the outlet of the tank is clogged full of crap. It will be a nice looking truck when it all cleaned up, congrats!

I thought this posted, but guess not. Po's cleaned it out today and got it ready for me to pick it up. Took some awesome pics too.

That Portland motor looks good. .030 over, I heard that's about all they can go. Some stuff came up so I can't spend any money now. Trying to clear out some junk so I can buy some more! As far as fuel, it's got two aftermarket aux fuel tanks. I can only guess what's going on with it. I've got a bunch of tractoring to do this weekend, but I hope to get it cleaned up at least and get a few items looked at.

That looks to be a good buy om a 390. .030 is no big deal on the bore. My 428 is bored out .040 with no problems.
The bore is different on a 352 to a 390, but that can be fixed. the bore in a 360 in the same as a 390, but runs a 352 crank.
