My name is John, I live in West Linn Oregon. I am a west coast transplant that grew up outside of Philly and moved out here about 6 years ago. My first car, was a Ford truck, '80 F100 Stepside. I had a few other Ford Trucks over the years from an '86 F250 4X4 with a 4.9 inline 6 and manual trans to my favorite, it was a lifted '79 Bronco with a 351M coupled to a C6.

That '79 bronco was my last Ford truck, I blew it's engine in 2002 and sold it shortly after. in 2005, my wife wanted a new truck and since it was officially going to be her truck, she chose a Dodge Ram mainly based on the looks. We traded her 2005 Hemi 1500 on my current 2007 Cummins powered 2500. As we have gotten older (I'm turning 40 this month), our family growing (7yr old and 3yr old) and we are doing more 5th wheel travels/camping we wanted to upgrade our 10 year old truck. I liked the Cummins, and was originally looking at a newer Ram, but this 2017 Super Duty came out and I had to at least test drive it before making my choice. Now my Ram is on Craigslist and I'm impatiently waiting for my new Ford to be built...

I have been driving a 2016 F-550 with a 16' box for work. I have to careful not to put all the freight at the back door.

 

I'm jealous. I would love to have a new 2017 F350, but it is a little steep for my banker. Good thing I still have a love fest going on for the 96.
