Very odd electrical issue, need help

So today my 03 has thrown a bug at me that I can't seem to find the answer to yet. Issue is the wipers and windows will only work in Neutral or Park. Also, the overhead console and blower fan will work with the key out of the truck. Battery was killed because of this.
I thought the ignition switch may have been the problem, but with the plug removed of the main key switch the fan still worked. Pulled relays to see if maybe one was sticking, but that wasn't it.

Another odd thing is now when I turn the key on, the instrument needles sweep all the way to the right and then reset back to zero, seems like a first time power up or something, very weird.

I'm stumped. Any clues out there???

instrument needles sweep is an indication of bad / low battery. Good charge might help. Still guessing you have a wire / plug problem on the ignition switch. The shift lever pushes it and makes it act odd.

Well, after some more searching online, seems water has leaked onto the fuse panel and it is full of water. The GEM seems dry and fine, but the water in the fuse box must have caused a short. I have it out and drying with light heat and will install it all tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Fixed. Dried out the fuse box over night and had the battery on charge. Reassembled this morning and everything is running perfect again. Now to locate the source of the water leak.
