Well I put the old x to work today. Drove up to Davenport Iowa to pick up the 05 I bought. Drove 600 miles and averaged 13.8 mpg in 25mph winds. Didnt miss a beat. Oh and the 05 has studs

Cool, what kind of shape is the 05 in? It doesn't look that bad. I wonder if it has a tune already in it.

 

I agree. Lol. I am sure it was but tuner wasnt there so they more than likely returned it back to stock. Not real bad shape going to get it running first part of the week hopefully. Then start ripping parts off. It has an egr delete and a air horn as well.lol. few odds and ends.

Side note: I hate Iowa. For me it's what's between Illinois and Nebraska on I-80, each of which aren't exactly on my A-list, but somehow no matter if it's East or West-bound I'm always excited to get the hell outta Iowa.

 

Lol. Not really. The avatar has pearl white on top. I like to leave some of the original color so I dont have to do all the inner door jams. Plus I had some black and red left over from the f250.lol

Looks great to me. Better than rust red and OEM paint like a lot of trucks from further up north.

 

Thanks. I know exactly what your talking about. Last year I picked up a 06 with 28k miles on it from Minnesota, that frame was rusted more than one around here with 200k. Crazy

 

Eric , Jim ( nite eyes) has a set of air bags he has them in market place on FTE or he is over in Nor Cal chapter
