New Y-Block Book
For those of you that are Y-Block fans and/or interested the New Y-Block Book is now available for your enjoyment after a long wait.

Joe, The book is more about rebuilding or modifying Y-Blocks as a whole, not noting individual differences between the years. It takes you through the steps and nuances of rebuilding a stock 292" that should be able to be applied to all Y-Blocks and then the building of a modified 322".
There is a nice picture of a 239" in the intro and states it is Fords first OHV engine, replacing the 239" Flathead.

I've got this book and the reprint of Ford Y-Block. The reprints pictures are black and white and very hard to see.
Both have very good info on tearing down and putting together our engines. If pushed I would choose just because of the pictures.
