Running Out of Fuel

2003 F350, 6.0---Changed both fuel filters, cleaned out pump, cranks good idles all day but when you rev it up to 1500 and above it acts like it is running out of fuel, let off and it will catch up and idle good. if you dont let off it will die, cycle ign a couple times and it will crank back up and run good. also going down road if you let it idle or maybe run about 1000 rpm it will go but if you try any more than that it goes dead. does anyone have any thoughts of what i might could try next. Thanks.

Do you still have an EGR valve? If so I would pull it out and clean it. I had a similar issue with mine, and the EGR valve was not functioning correctly. Sounds like you might be stuck open or hanging open.

If, this all started immediately after the filter change....

Double check your filters and the housing cap, especially the lower! If the lower doesn't fully seal it'll suck air like you are experiencing.

Happen to me last filter change, i have a fuel pressure gauge so i don't risk injector damage from low fp.

X2 on the filters, did you drain the water separator ? do you have a gauge to monitor sensor values ? ICP, ICPV, IPR . the upgrade blue spring is required for fuel pressure may need to check and see what fuel pressure is there's a sticky in the Tech folders.
