Rear brakes

I ordered up a set of rotors and pads for the truck. 200k and original rear rotors. They are not worth resurfacing given the rust in the web,

I do have a parking brake sticking on the pass side. Pretty sure it's not the cable, but the pivot in the housing.

Should I plan on going all in and replace the parking brake shoes too? I already plan on getting calipers/mounting brackets as well. Fluid flush/change.

Opinions on calipers?

I would change them on condition. I had ordered the parking brake shoes and hardware for mine but discovered them to be in good shape so I did not replace when I had it apart years ago. I need to do it soon though, the parking brake does not hold very well on hills now.

if going the whole route, you'll need new inner seals and the hub nut tool as well

What? I've put pads on the back before, and had one of the rotors off and machined a rust ridge off. I don't recall having the axle out. Please say it's not so

Can I ask what brand brakes and rotors you went with? I need to start collecting for my brake job and was think of Motorcraft hardware for my parts.

I believe he is referring to the part of doing the parking brakes. You don't need a hub nut tool for the rear pads/calipers alone.

I'll have to consult my Ford service DVD. I had to pull the axles on the Ram 1500 to do the e-brakes. Not happy.
