Angry 2005 F350 Steering wheel electronics

My steering wheel has electronic functions on it. None of these are working, to include the horn. Also, on the dash, a pic of the air bag in on, which I think indicates the one in the steering wheel. What would cause the steering electronic mechanisms not to work? No where in the manual does it indicate a fuse that is related to "steering" wheel. Anyone have an idea?

Welcome to FTE!

Are you referring to the cruise control etc? if the airbag light is on and your cruise control and horn don't work it leads me to believe that it may be the clock spring since all those signals pass through there. Also its fairly cheap and simple to replace so it cant hurt.

Cheap part, Not by a long shot. That is if you get it from a Ford parts house.
The part is not available at you local parts stores.

The best price would be at AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake Parts (previously Tousley Ford Parts)
They are a site sponsor and the prices are good.

Really? I got one for my 95 it was $60 on summit racing I guess the SD ones are more then. I would try and narrow it down then before just replacing it.

When I priced mine here at Ford they wanted almost $200

I know that AutoNation was less by quite a bit but still over $100
