2014 6.2 Oil leak.

After work today I decided to drop the driveshaft to grease the slip joint. The "generous" amount of grease Ford used deserves a gold star. Just by using the PTFE grease most of all the shudder went away!

Anyways, I have been noticing a small drip of oil on the bottom of my oil filter. This has been there since I got the truck and 3 oil changes later by the dealer, it still forming on the bottom of the oil filter. I don't have any oil loss over 3,000 mile oil changes but there should not be a leak. I am starting to think that the cause of the random noisy starts might have something to do with it.

Has anyone ever heard of this, I know the coolers rarely leak. I wiped the filter area off and I will go for a drive tonight and look for another drip. I don't think its residual from the recent oil change 200 miles ago.

My other question is, The dealer I bought the truck from is 25 miles away and the dealer I use for service is 5 miles away. Is there an issue going to a different dealer for warranty work? I plan on taking it in Monday to get it looked at along with a few other things. Thanks!
