If you could take a bone stock Super Duty and make it perform the best in deep snow what would you do to it? Not looking to spend thousands of dollars mind you. Just make a good sound dependable deep snow capable pickup.

Good tires, locker/ls in the back should be all you need if you have to add something. Weight in the bed too.

We plow snow with them stock and haven't needed to do anything other than slip them into 4wd.

 

you have two options in snow; be light and have wide tires to float on it or be heavy with tall narrow tires to dig through it to solid ground, but either way without ground clearence you will eventually get hung up..... best option for a stock heavy truck would be to get some aggressive narrow tires in the 33-35ish inch range. something in a 34x10.50 would be good to aim for. like paul said, lock/limited slip the rear at least.

 

i have found the best way to get through deep snow is to put a plow on the front.
