intake plenums or y pipe boots bad?

Here are my symptoms, I have notices oil like missed around the boots and clamps are tight. I get code P0236 turbo performance , I have replaced Map and Y pipe boots are about 3 years old from pure diesel. She starts fine but I do notice the motor lags a little and when I go in gear (E40D) idle drops to about 400 then back up to normal. Driving down the road she has power and turbo spools up and sounds good like normal and trans shifts great. The oil missed I wipe around the boots and around plenums and after a day or two the oil is back. What could be causing this problem? I did notices the boots are soft and I do remember them a little harder. I have run a program for years and this code has not come up before. Should I use some propane are plenums to see if they are leaking? I have replace cps, map, fuel pump, rebuilded fuel bowl, icp, ipr, all plug pigtails to valve cover except one and vacuum pump all ford parts. This oil, code, and idling problem has me confused as H***. Any info and help would gladly be appreciated Thank you!

Pull the intake parts to the turbo.
Pull the doghouse that goes in there, clean it with some diesel fuel and get the oil out so the motor can breath.

The turbo will pull oil vapors out of the valve covers and it eventually builds up in the doghouse tehre on top of the valve cover and it will start pulling oil into the turbo.

While you have all that off, check for turbo end play and see if there is any wiggle, dragging on the intake or any impeller damage at all.

If the thrust bearing starts leaking, you'll get oil in the intake boots as well.

I just replaced fuel pump and had all intake tubes off from turbo to air filter and did notice oil on the turbo hose and coming out of the doghouse. I have never cleaned it so I will clean it. As for turbo I was going to rebuild but just could not find the one bolt for ped but the turbo had no wiggle or damage so I left it alone.

Turbo's are essentially a controlled leak to keep the shafts lubricated.

If your getting oil into the y pipe down to the intake boots, it comes either from the seal behind the impeller or the CCV Doghouse.
