RC can't you use that big loader to pick them up and hurray on a red truck, I think red is an awesome color for a truck.

Morning folks.

Rich, it's even the same color red as yours!

RC, leave the 4.11's in it. You just won't be able to go over 60 on the highway. They ARE better for pulling, just not for going down the road at a high rate of speed.

yea thats my problem alan.. i want this truck as a daily driver.. but will also need to pull a load sometimes.. i am thinking i should just go with the 3:25's since i will drive empty more than loaded, and just grit my teeth and smoke the clutch a little when i pull a load... it is hard to get things both ways..

Good morning men and Terry.
Property manager has someone coming over today to replace the kitchen faucet, and another crew to pressure wash the house today, so I'm hanging around here today. So I'm here for the day, like most days.

Unk Bob

well i had a good and bad day.. i took a couple of steps forward on the 71.. and a few steps back.... got the rear end apart and was happy to see not much damage and then counted the teeth and i have been wrong for many years about the ratio in that old truck.. it is 35-10 tooth count which is a 3:50 gear.. so i dont have to look for a set.. ha ha ha ha .. then i had the flywheel re-surfaced and they raped me for 40.00.. then after i got it cleaned up i noticed i have to replace the ring gear. .. but did get the wheels all sandblasted etched and seal primed so made a little progress...so all was not a total loss today..

link to some pics i took today to prove i have not just been sitting around all day..

alan i was thinking about just getting a sheet of lexan and cutting it to fit and popping it in the hinges and the fastener are all broke on it anyways

On another note while in kansas for easter i was able to snag the first motorcycle i ever rode. 1974 yamaha enduro 125. Trying to get it up and running cleaned the hell out of the tank (PAIN IN THE ***) tore down the carb cleaned the crap out of it also put in a new plug put the carb back on jumped the battery off my truck and shot it with starter fluid. It cranks but doesn't start. Possible i didn't get the needles adjusted right since i am pretty sure they weren't adjusted right when i got it. Timing could be messed up also since it ate the points when they came undone and wrapped around the shaft when i was in high school. Supposedly after my dad got around to fixing it it would hit off ether so i don't know. Anyways that and school are what i have been up to. And riding the hell out of my new mountain bike

Road trip to town for gas for the the yard vacuum to work on the leave population. Worked on some items on the hillbilly-rig, followed by a fun test drive, then shot some guns.

Got ol red to fire up, I need to get back on that with a vengeance..... Worked on the Red Bronco's constant flat, the large sheet metal screw in the side wall was not working as a good plug anymore, and discovered I need to break down the bead lock rim and replace the dry rotted valve stem.

Penny made lunch and shot some guns too
