It is boring up there but I think Pennsylvania is the worst. Especially heading west towards Pittsburgh

Evening guys.

95 down through SC and GA is pretty boring also, especially at 2-3 am.

I don't have rental cars or a Prius to run around in so nope just been to New York, Mass, and PA. This week.

There's no reason for me to drive through the vast stretch of nothing between the coasts.

I took 84 across New York This winter and the pot holes would have eaten a Prius. To top it off they drive at 80mph + on slick road conditions just to aggravate things. Thought it did make Pennsylvania seem like heaven. But have to admit that I like driving up in the Catskill Mountains.

Hey guys, happy Easter

I've already had a long day, need a nap. Went in to work around 3 to babysit a car accident. Just had to sit in the dump truck with the strobes on until it was cleaned up. Not real hard work, but crappy hours.

Then I installed a bathroom light/fan combo which really helps a lot. That room never had one.

And finally I installed resistors on my blinkers in the truck. I put led bulbs in and got hyper flash, but that is all fixed now.

Now I shall relax and wait for my basket of candy to arrive tomorrow. Hope everyone has a nice weekend

Happy Easter to all. Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Yesterday was interesting in the fact that when I went to let the dogs out for the 3rd time, there was a Red Tail Hawk eating a squirrel in the middle of the back yard. Later we drove to the campground dropped off some tubs of stuff for the coming season and decided to drive over to Albany for diner. On the way there a Red Tailed Hawk flew up from the side of the road and connected with the top area of the window and the roof at 75mph. From the sound of the hit I was expecting real damage. When we got to the restaurant I got out, nothing but a image of the wing and body on the windshield. Weird two Hawks in one day.

Happy Easter everyone!

Wife and kids are on their way back from Buffalo, and I'm visiting my parents in New Hampshire. Helped my mom buy a new car yesterday. We test drove a bunch of things including the Traverse, Explorer, Escape, and the Toyota Venza. She ended up settling on the AWD Sienna though. My wife loves hers, so I think it's a good choice.

She really liked the Explorer, but at the end of the day it doesn't have anywhere near the interior volume of a minivan. And with dogs and grandkids she really liked the power sliding doors.

It's a shame Ford doesn't make a minivan anymore. That 2.0L EcoBoost that they put in the Escape makes it a rocket ship. An EcoBoost engine would be fantastic in a van.

Yeah, but not like a minivan they don't. You can't do this with an Excursion.

With our family we hardly ever took the Excursion back when we had it, it was just too hard to load and unload the kids and all their stuff.
