Beautiful bed but for $6,000 you could find one here in Cali, just as straight, with the rest of the truck still attached to it.

Not trying to be a naysayer here but........67 miles and stored ever since. That thing is absolutely perfect and dent free. If you were building a show winning truck or even a museum piece, it might be worth it to you. That bed needs to be preserved.

That kind of price says one thing! He's in love with it as a friend of mind would say.

I've never seen a (take off) whole bed before. Wonder what the story is behind it being taken off. I seen take off tail gates before but never the bed and all. Looks nice and I'm in love with the color. Old fords with yellow paint really catch my eye. Only thing about this bed is it's good for someone doing a all original truck. But it would be hard to find that guy doing one especially in that color. Thanks for posting it for us to see.

If it was a short bed I could see it fetching 3 to 4k. Paint is irrelevant.

It'll sell. Watch TV, some people value these trucks in the 50K range. And never forget the old addage, There is an *** for every seat. or in this case bed.

Perhaps the truck was turned into a flatbed or a service truck tool box was put on.

I've seen places with STACKS of new take off beds. Most are utility bed manufacturers/installers. Imagine what they would be worth in 40 yrs?

Realistically, I can see someone paying $1K-$1500 for it, but not $6K. I suppose it all depends on how bad you want it.

2X Abe and Freightrain. Back in those days a Dealer could not order a truck without a bed. If the truck was going to get a different bed of some type the factory one was sold as a take-off.
