Parting Out 1990 E-250

Category: Accessories
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): S2000, Motorcycles
Item Condition: PA
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped
Engine: Part suitable for gas truck

I have a complete 1990 E-250, which has succumbed to cancer. The body and frame are shot, many good parts on 80,000 or so mile truck. Engine seems to have bad thrust bearing and leaks oil w/play in crankshaft. Rear doors are about all that is good on the body but there are many good parts on this truck. What does not sell will end up in the scrap yard and all prices will be reasonable. All parts are still on the truck.
Thanks,
Mark

Engine is a 351 CI. I can never remember how many liters that is.

Yes, still have them and they all work and are in good shape.

Does it have a full float rear axle and 12"x3" back brakes?

I do not know what full float means in the rear axle. The rear is a Dana 60 limited slip if that helps and I would have to pull a tire to check brake shoes. If you are interested I could check.

That explains it pretty well. It is a semi floater. Clips in the pumpkin to release the axles.

Where are you located? I may be interested in the engine.

I am in Douglassville, PA. It is between Phila. and Reading, PA. The engine does need to be rebuilt due to the thrush (thrust) bearing being bad.

If you weren't so far, that'd be fine. I'm planning a rebuild anyway.

I am not moving too fast on the truck just yet but I might pull the engine and tranny. What is a rebuildable engine worth? I expect the top end is in good condition. I'd be willing to meet you somewhere.
