Progress getting the a/c out - but stumped by the compressor

I have removed, albeit not very gracefully, all components of the a/c unit on my F100. I have taken it out of the loop on the belt and have just the one belt pulling water pump and alternator.
But looking for direction in removing the compressor unit.

The link above should take you to a picture of what I am seeing.

1968/72 F100/350 360/390 & 1969/72 F100 302 with factory installed integral A/C or dealer installed A/C. The compressor is mounted on the left (drivers) side of the engine.

That York style compressor has 4 bolts that come straight up in the 4 corners of the bottom of the compressor threw the mounting plate, on some vehicles they are not accessible without removing the mounting bracket with it. But I don't think that is the case with yours, If you remove the alternator you should be able to get a 9/16 socket on all 4.

Why are you removing it? Can you post pictures of the unit I may need a couple parts from it or the whole thing for mine.

Thanks for that. Found three of the bolts. Figured there was a fourth. Was hoping to get bracket and compressor off together. Will take another stab at it today.
I saw some adds for complete a/c kits for my truck. Read the installation instructions and no references are made to installing a compressor.

The bracket mounts to the engine at three points, usually two bolts and one nut on a stud in the block. With yours on the 300 being on the pass side, you might have to loosen or remove one of the bolts for the Alt. I've never seen one mounted on that side, so just guessing. hope it helps.

From what he said, he is looking at an aftermarket A/C system, and I believe he is thinking he no longer needs the underhood components, not realizing the aftermarket kit does not supply the underhood components, and is probably going to have to reinstall all the original underhood components to make the aftermarket kit work.

Removed the compressor. ends up the bracket provides the upper support for the alternator, so I still need it. Picture link above.
I am removing the a/c simply because it was ugly as heck both in the cab and under the hood. The adjusting pulley was poorly crafted and just further cluttered up the area under the hood.
I ride a harley most of the time, so driving the a/c less f100 won't be that big of an issue.
I was just looking at the other aftermarket systems to see what was out there.
Now I would not mind replacing the upper bracket with the original style bracket and would gladly trade for such.
Current folder for the vehicle:

I actually may have that bracket for you. Do you have any pictures of the inside unit?
