6 inch lift

Obviously there are many kits out there and while many of them utilize the same principals to lift the truck its hard to tell which ones are quality and which ones are to be avoided. Which ones use quality material and which ones don't. Many of you have lifted your trucks and have real experience with numerous kits, so, what is the good stuff?

Thanks,
09 150 FX4 5.4

For the price you cant go wrong with a Rough county lift kit. Have one on the way for 2012 fx4. As you stated they are all about the same and they have to meet the same standards to be on the road unless I am mistaken.

Yup, so many opinions out there, I have heard some say under no circumstances use a Rough Country kit. And others love them, Im just trying to get some idea of parts quality among kits, or are they all mostly the same?

I can tell you by my experience that this will be my third rough country lift and none of them have given me problems. I have also heard horror stories with them but have had nothing but good luck using their lifts. Good luck in your quest.

See, that's exactly what I am talking about! You have had 3 of their kits and they have all been good. That's solid first hand info! Thanks

My buddy owns a shop and installs on average 2 lift kits a week.He won,t sell rough country. He sells BDS.He had too many problems with RC.I,ve seen the parts on the two kits and the BDS looks much stronger. JMO

IMO - The biggest difference in the kits are the shocks. Pay for quality shocks and you'll like your lift kit more.

Why wont he sell them? Its easy to say something is junk unless you have dealt with it first hand. I have had their kits and they have held up well with zero issues maybe ive been lucky to this point. I was missing a part once in my first kit and they over nighted it to me. Im in the mud and off the beaten path quite a lot. I dont climb rock piles though as im in fl but we do have tons of swamp. Just curios as to why he dislikes them.

If you saw the two kits side by side you would see the difference. Plus BDS has an UNCONDITIONAL lifetime gaurantee.

This may be very true. Although my experiences have been great with RC lifts. I think if I break a lift im doing something bad I prolly shouldnt be doing lol. We dont really have rocks here in just flat swamp land thats mucky.
