F-150 VS NBS Chevy

This is definitely a funny pic, but guys don't laugh too hard at the GM guys. I parked my bone stock "FX4-Off Road" next to a bone stock Toyota Tundra, and the difference in height/ ground clearance was staggering favoring the Tundra.
Silverado's/ Sierra's & Ram 1500's seem to have the least stock ground clearance. Toyota seems to have the most (I'm not counting the Raptor)
Anyone notice how much wider the Chevy looks, compared to the F-150?

If you look the actual steel section of the bumper on the chevy is nearly at the same height as the lowest section of the plastic on the ford...crazy!
I cant stand the square wheel wells, never have been much of a chevy styling fan. the 14's don't look much different then a '88 if you really look at it.
What looks real funny is his chevy next to my Excursion haha

Some of them I do, Tim. Ones like that pic have way too much chrome on the front end for me. I saw a brand new maroon 2500 lifted in front of a dealer last fall when the bride and I were out for a motorcycle ride, I almost swung in to have a closer look

I really like the looks of the new GM trucks, and the specs are impressive enough that I would take a really hard look at them before I bought another F150. The GM 6.2L is what a big bore V8 should be. 460 ft-lbs of torque, and rated for 20 MPG in 4WD trim. I wouldn't own a Ford 6.2L unless it was given to me, but that GM mill is extremely impressive.
It sort of makes sense when you consider the Tundra is the thirstiest truck on the road right now.
I don't give a crap about stance or appearance, for me it's all about having the right tool for the job and doing it as cost effectively as possible. A year ago the F150 was the obvious choice with the EcoBoost V6. Now it's not as clear.

the funny part was in the last week we had a large ice dam at the start of the driveway to our parking lot. Even my Excursion was being thrown around and scraping the skid plates underneath. All the guys with f-150s (and even our shop Ranger) had no issue with taking it slow and making it over without damage. This guy with the new chevy tried it and just about ripped the lower section of his bumper off and he was forced to park further away and walk to not cause damage to his new truck. i find this a bit crazy for a 4x4 half ton truck that cant travel over an area without risking damage that a '04 4x4 ranger has no issue with.
My cousin has the older 6.2 in his '09 4x4 crew cab GMC 1/2 ton and he says his MPG's aren't very good. he just slammed the thing with a 4"/6" drop on 24" wheels but has owned the truck since new and says typically 12-14mpg is all he can muster with it.
i cant wait to get my 6.2 and see what it gets with me behind the wheel
