Adding A/C to a 98 ?

Has anyone done this ? I'm looking at a nice 98 4cyl, 5-spped truck. It's only draw back is no A/C. It's hard to find a nice 4cyl truck, even harder with A/C. I wondering how hard it is to add A/C ??? Thanks !!!

I added to a 1985 which has the plenum under the hood. Got all the bits & pieces from:
http://www.ackits.com
They have a PDF catalog that lists a 98-01 kit {for trucks with power steering}

AMA13254-7167F

You'll have to contact them for pricing. I was in the $600 ball park back when. I would bet that they use R134a refrigerant. I had to have the hoses cut to length and the fittings crimped in place locally, but the charge was nominal.
I did not have to change the radiator, but did add the full fan duct. My brain fart won't let me name the piece, but it goes around the fan 360 degrees, and is fastened to the backside of the radiator.

p.s. If you order, they might include a ball cap. Talk to Warren if he is still around.

Another site, that lists a price {!!} is:

http://www.bought4less.com/bought4le...c7306a5-p.html

and http://www.acsource.com/ also has things...
