On the top blue banner click User CP, then on the left side go down to "edit my Avatar". There you can upload pictures from another website or from your computer (make sure they aren't too big for this site) for your picture next to your name.
For the posted pictures, and since you aren't a Supporter (you can be by paying), you really need to load photos to Photobucket and then add a link to a post.

So, to add to that...

Here's one way to put pics in your post:

Go to Photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

No, you don't need to be a supporter. Follow the instructions in my last post.

True, you don't have to be a supporter, but it is a lot easier if you are. If you are, there is a paperclip to be able to attach a photo easily. All that importing from another site was just too complicated for an old school geezer like me so I just became a supporter to be able to load pics.

The problem with pictures being on another site is down the track, anyone looking at that thread will probably not be able to see your pictures as you may have left this site or closed your photobucker account. It is disappointing at times to look at old threads and not be able to see pictures they are talking about. That is why I prefer to see them loaded on to this site. I appreciate what a pain in the neck it can sometimes be getting them downloaded here.

Hey John,
The Supporter thing is $20/yr. I believe & you get two solid
benefits from it that I can see. You can post pics directly from your hard drive (nice) & you get rid of almost all of the annoying advertising (nice).
You may have said already but what is the purple car next to your old truck?

Could we see some pictures? Here is how.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?

How to upload pictures to the FTE Forums. - YouTube. Thanks Sam Rusty_Old_F250. Best we can find is that this video was done by Gundown64

Your car is in a picture in an album on your profile: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/m...052-152203.jpg

Nice looking car. Stock 49-53 Ford cars are really nice cruisers.

Your car looks great.

Once you have done the hard part of getting a picture into an album on this forum, the rest is easy. Either click on a large picture and if it says copy picture URL, click on that and click on post reply, to open it up, click on the little mountain looking icon at the top of the post reply section; and paste the URL, add any comments as desired and you are done.

Sometimes the picture in the gallery will have a line below it saying URL to post in forum or something to that effect. Click on any thumbnail to get the URL of a large picture to post.

Hey John,
Didn't mean to spook you there. You can click on anyone's user name & it takes you to their User Profile. I do that at times to see where people are from & if they have any pics posted in their "Garage". You have a couple of pics posted there - one has your nice '49 in it.

Looking good over there in Ohio.
