Question So What do you Guys and Gals use for shop stools?

I've only got a metal fold up chair for now. I'd love to have a rollaround height adjustable mini-stool. I just need to decide what brand to get.

But what do I do for a workbench stool? I'm 6'-1" and the top of my wooden work bench is about 3 feet from the ground. I would love to get my hands on one of the metal frame swivel stools that we used back in high school in shop and electronics class, but have not had the luck of finding one yet. I wish I knew someone in the school districts that could hook me up. I'm not too keen on using the wooden stools found at Wally-mart. I question their durability and their flame retarded-ness while I'm welding.

The best shop stools I've ever seen are in some auto part stores. At the counter. Heavy steel with chrome & vinal seat with store logo. I wonder if they are available to the general public.I'm using the same kind of folding chair. A good stool is hard to find.

I recently picked up a used dentist stool at a junk yard. It has 5 decent casters, and is height adjustable. All that for $2.00.

You can prob buy the stools that you find at parts stores. I was joking around once about getting one of the baskets for O'reillys and they priced it and they cost 15 bucks. I was like yea right... So later on I just took it after a guy that didnt know they costs alot, told me i could have it :P
But You could prob buy the stool.

~Shop Stool~

Sam's Club sell a real beauty. All stainless steel, and its worm/screw heigth adjustable. You know you spin the seat and it screws up or down like the old bar stools.

Its not padded though, don't want people getting comfortable at work you know.

I never did set down at the work bench, but I have one of those Snap-on stools with a padded seat that you can roll around on and it has a little tray underneath. For the taller style I have to use something tough since it will undoubtedly get called on to hold up something besides a human butt. My favorite though is an old cast iron implement seat on a homemade base. Likewise one made from an old Harley solo seat that a friend of mine used to have in his chopper shop.

HAHAHAH! Im back already.
Instead of doing my barstool that way.
I think im gonna do my creeper
Itd be a bit easier I think Take a few RC type electric motors and somehow attach them to 2 or 4 of the wheels
I'll let you know how it turns out if I go thru with it
