OT - What year is this fender?

Picked this up while getting a 52 hood. What year is the fender? Looks like a mid 30s Ford truck fender to me, but I could be wrong. Thanks.

It looks like a car rear fender to me. The cars have the recessed area in the rear 1/4's that the fenders bolt to. Don't know the exact year but I'd guess 37-39 area.

I thought it could be for a Panel truck, but does make sense that it's for a car.

I thought GM possibly but the guy said it was from a Ford. His father does have a 34 Ford.

After some searching, maybe a 36 chevy coupe?

Check out some 36 chevy coupe pics.

The Fords that age don't have the raised ridge around the bottom.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1935-1936-Chevrolet-RH-Rear-Fender-USED-OEM-Gasser-Hot-Rod-Rat-Rod-Restore-/301055091398?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item46184822c6&vxp=mtrChevies had the bead too 35-36. Something I find curious, I assumed that whatever car this came off of had the tail lights mounted on the body, not the fender since it does not look like yours was drilled for a fender mounted tail light (like 35-36 Chevies had) but the one on eBay looks the same (not drilled). Were tail lights optional then?

I'd also say mid-late 30's GM. Ford's didn't have the bead around the wheel opening. It's definitely a car rear fender of some type. A lot of GM models had the tail lights mounted on the body side quarter panel, above the fenders.

Bead around rear fender wheel opening, with tail lamps mounted high on the body sides...as pictured in your post 7: 1939 Chevrolet cars except Station Wagons.

1937/38 Oldsmobile's also have tail lamps mounted high on the body sides, but I cannot see a bead around the rear fenders in the pics I looked at in the Standard Catalog of American Cars.
