The Amercoat is spray able i know they make their own primer in the line but I've never used it... still no need for metal prep and marine clean steps with it

And I'm paying about $75 a gallon with activator

That's less than half the price of a gallon of POR15 around here.

So you don't need the marine clean and very little metal prep is required, and you just dump it and spray it on? You don't have to thin it? What do you use for equipment cleanup afterwards? Just regular thinners and solvents? I'm really interested in this as an alternative. Is this what you used on the bottom of the cab on Swagger?

In order to spray it you would need to thin it ...let me stop at the paint shop and ask some more questions for you ... we usually just brush it on

And no the underside of swagger was done with diy spray on bed liner

My mistake I remember now you said it was Herculiner or something similar. Don't make a special trip for this. I'm still a little ways off from being ready to do this project. If you don't mind asking them about it when you're there that's great, but don't feel like you need to make a special trip.

Ok guys I finally pulled the trigger on paint for the frame.
1 gallon Amercoat 370 in pearl gray (primer)... $53

1 quart of Amercoat 370 cure... $13

1 gallon Amercoat 450h in gloss black... $74

1 quart Amercoat 450h cure... $18

1 gallon Amercoat 101 thinner... $33

Got away at $200 which is what a gallon of POR is iirc

They make a product to add to it if brushing on ... i can get that number if anyone needs it

Hoping to spray Sunday and I'll get some pics up
