This TSB was released in Feb - It's for a reprogram of the GPS module re the nav being off-track.

Some 2013-2014 vehicles equipped with SYNC® and/or MyFord Touch®, MyLincoln Touch® and built on or before 1/6/2014 may exhibit navigation display offset or incorrect position. The last known vehicle location may be displayed instead of current location, or the vehicle location may be displayed as off road from the current vehicle position.

Has anyone gotten this tsb done ? What, if any, improvement have you seen?

We ran into it again yesterday going to North Dallas in one particular area that it shows us off two or three streets from where we are and since it's an area that we don't frequent, it's confusing as w-ell

The pic below was when it 'sorta' found itself on the LEFT side of the 8 lane highway but from the green track you can see it was all kinds of confused!

The gps will try to make us do right turns and left turns to get back to where we ALREADY are

 

Haven't gotten it but now that I know about it I will.

GPS has been funny over the past 2-3 months. A couple of times it left the vehicle icon at my house on the screen even though I was 20 miles away on a trip.

Time to talk to the dealer.

 

I haven't had the TSB done but they did replace my GPS antenna when mine was doing the same as you are showing. From the start location it was correct, but the further I drove the farther off course it would get. So when you go in you may want them to check the antenna as well.

 

I had it done and seems to be working great. I think it even changed my reaview camera a little I have green yellow and red show up in reverse now. I was having the same promblems with my nav. but have not had one issue since the update

 

What did you guys tell the service writer for this? Its hard to prove sitting in the dealer, but I've had this happen to my truck several times.

 

I just went in this week and said "nav is off by 3 or 4 blocks and will want me to turn right 4 times to get to where I am NOW"

They noted on the paperwork "verified concer, gps is off grid" performed TSB 140041A.

BUT, they probably did the wrong tsb !!!
