Just a bit about cac clamp placement. This truck came from a speciality shop also. Really don't want to sling mud,, but little stuff like this shouldn't come out of "speciality shops".

6.0 powerstroke cac clamp placement - YouTube
unfortunately, stuff like tat can be overlooked. just 5 more mins to triple-check everything makes a huge difference.

when my dumb a** installed the new intake elbow and updated cold side CAC tube recently, i got everything back in and nice and snug but i forgot tat i unhooked the degas bottle return line.

dang, did tat coolant spew out. lol.it looked like my truck just blew her heart valve from a clogged artery. maybe a cheeseburger got stuck in there. lol.

i can't wish my ex-wife got stuck in there, cos it would cause catastrophic failure again and i'd be the first suspect.

That's funny Dom,,

Yeah,, I understand anything can be overlooked.

Here's a bunch of videos leading up to pulling the engine.

What do you guys think this stuff is on the injector?

Pulling the engine tomorrow.

Btw,, Corey is here and we are gonna swap his engine too. Finally gonna get that Blackwater one out of there.

Not going to try another injector? Possible it wasn't torqued to spec along with whatever that plastic is?

Maybe a plastic wire brush was used to clean the injector cup and left some bristles?

That looks like it going to be a bummer.

Green coolant !

BTW I have some info on the streaming question.

Looks the easy way is a standalone PC and use a PCI-Express
card with HDMI IN. The price is all over the place. Depends on
what you need the card to do.

Do you have an injector sleeve compression tester? that would
let you know if that plastic stuff was letting gasses past the O-rings
and that it's not the bottom end. I guess if you don't you could clean
the sleeve and install a fresh set of O-rings and retest that low cylinder.
Then if it jumps back up you know it was a bad cleaning job and not the
bottom end taking a dump.

You have my guess Benny. I am thinking the piston has a hole in it. Mostly due to how the engine runs right now. I am doubting there is any damage to the block. I am actually considering making a new purchase. Snap on has a very cool new setup. I gotta check my bank acct. lol. I will definitely let you all know about it when it crosses the threshold.

I don't feel there's gonna be any good news come out of just an injector Josh. It passed the bubble test,, and I cranked it with the oil rail removed. I was "pipe dreaming" that maybe a valve was leaking up top,, or possibly a multiple failure on that #8 Inj. Very unlikely,, but maybe that Inj was venting compression and all that compression was exiting through the fuel orings???? No dice on that shot n the dark. Lol. It's blowing outta everywhere that the crankcase has access to. This is a hard working truck,, I am believing that #8 was throwing a bit too much fuel. Maybe this truck should bet first install of ceramic coated pistons???? That'd b cool. I have been considering ceramic coating my pistons. It is about 1500 extra for it,,,(not exactly sure on that yet) Not sure if that's on the table for this build tho.

Well that answers that.
I did not know you cranked it with the injector in place and
did not get the blow by.

Well if it is as you suspect a hole in #8 the actual compression test will verify as well as you should get an audible chuffing noise from the crank case, may be hard to hear and require several revoloutions of the engine.
