200k mile maintenance

Got a 2006 f150 with the 5.4 just rolled over 200k miles. I plan on all new fluids what else should I do other then plugs and wires? I tried search but didn't really find a whole lot more just how many miles does your 5.4 and threads like that.

New filters....oil, air, tranny, fuel. Check the suspension, brakes, and tires. Probably rotate the tires.

I'm curious about plugs and wires also. Mine only has 26k on it, but I plan on doing plugs/wires around 50k and want to know what everyone has had good experiences with.

OEM?

Use the oem motor craft plugs. as far as wires go you have cop's, no wire replacement needed

What kind of things would a guy look for when buying a high mileage gasser?

Would it be a good idea to do a compression test?

Edit: don't mean to thread jack but I was thinking our questions are pretty similar

If you change them at 50,000 , it should be a very simple job with no problems , use the search in this forum to read how many of us have done their own (including me) use the proper motorcrafts , and you're good for another 50,000 , and their are no plug wires on your truck ,..

If you are talking about doing a compression test before you buy it , I would think the seller would only agree to this if you have a known mechanic do it , and hold you responsible if the plugs break and add more cost .
But if the truck idles smooth with no codes , I would doubt it is low on compression.

Thanks.

Yeah, I keep forgetting that it has coil on plug. This is the first gas rig I've owned in a while, and the newest.

Ran seafoam and had little to no smoke that's a first. Ran about a 1/3 in intake rest in fuel will do anther treatment again soon to help. What does everyone recommend to run in oil? Some say not to run seafoam in oil right before oil change.
