new cam, lifters, valve train...sounds like ones stuck
Wanted to get some input from you all. My motor(5.8) is a completely new build. we put in a full comp cam valvetrain including cam, lifters, springs, valves, rockers..you get the idea.
It sounds like ones either stuck or collapsed. The install guide that comp sent explicitly said do not pump the lifters with oil prior to install. The cam is fairly high lift .510 so I am wondering if the rockers are just making contact with the valve covers in a few spots, but worse case scenario is a collapsed lifter. (I will get a chance to open it up again this weekend)
what are the chances I got one hung up on a fresh build with all new parts?
Its only run about 3hrs, Joe Gibbs break in oil (with zinc) and another bottle of lucas break in treatment for a little more protection.

how about valve adjustments and im sure you used plenty of oil and lube i have never used break in oil i always just made sure everything was pre lubed and never set for any period of time when i lubed it it ment it was going together did you make sure everything was 100 percent clean and i always just because did an oil change after first fire up and heat cycle and make sure oil is getting to the valves does both sides make noise and yes i know it comes with break in oil in it and im not saying it will hurt it and its not a good idea but just my input if it matters
