I have replaced the TPS per code, changing the EGR valve this wekkend per code, but wondering about two things in the linked photo.

The canister closest to the camera has an open tube that should have a vacuum line going somewhere is a concern.

And the middle of the three parts behind it apparently has a nipple broken off or missing where the visibly loose vacuum line should go.

I have no idea what these items are for, or called.

The item in question is the diffuser/muffler for the air pump system, it's supposed to be open to the atmosphere on one end.

 

I'm thinking the little cansiter with the opening is just a muffler for the air pump. Nothing goes on the open end(3/4" or so diameter).

Can't help you with identifing all the rest of the controls. My '89 has stuff there, but not the same as your newer model(I see 1991 part numbers).

 

Does your truck still have the factory cats and does it have to pass sniffer tests? If not you can completely remove all that stuff.
