rebuild

I have connections with a mid-state vendor that quotes $1600 to rebuild
an E40D with a one year guarantee. Any deal you may make depends entirely on that fact that you talk to him directly. I am not responsible for your deal.

Ok i said i wanted to change to a manual transmission i should be able to do that with out a donor truck i don't need electronics cuz the manual transmission done have any beside neutral switch and thats on the back side of ur clutch pedal and u don't need that really so i should be able to get a manual from behind any diesel motor.
And just for all your information the guy that told me to put transtune in my transmission and drop oil and i put new filter in and put lucus oil transmission additive in it and my light went off and my transmission works perfect so for $80 i fix transmission maybe u should take this and use it

I'm sure your "friends dad" knows something. But these trans are different than the older one's. If you catch them when they start slipping there's a chance you can get it by until you get it rebuilt if a seal is getting old an hard with a little brake fluid poured in. I'm guessing that's kinda what was in your transtune. Now getting by and fixing are different. No matter what you can pour in a trans to get by will replace friction material on the clutch's.
If the light was flashing there's a problem in the trans. That's how these are different than older ones. They tell you something is wrong. If you have ever looked at a clutch disk out of 1 you can see there's not much there to be slipping. Now I know a guy with a 5 speed setup Pm me an I'll see what he wants for it. I think he has everything
Good luck
John
