Can anyone recommend a shop/mechanic between N. Seattle and Everett?
I have an '96 F250 7.3 diesel that stopped running due to bad fuel and need to have the tanks drained and cleaned, as well as a couple of things replaced (such as the brakes, senders, and possibly a couple of other things). Was tempted to do it myself, but the HoA is throwing a bitchfest.... I was wondering if anyone could recommend a shop/mechanic in the area?

RE: N. Seattle shops
We had a new transmission put in our '95 F250 gasser at Trans Service Inc. Not sure what else they might be able to help with. They were pretty easy to work with, and came recommended by a good friend "in the know".

Just found your thread after seeing the Visitor Message.
I could do the work on your truck but I do not have the time. My shop is in Marysville and you need a couple days worth of work which I can't afford to take.
Having my wisdom teeth pulled Monday and my wife is 8.5 months pregnant so we have a ton going on and I'm hustling to slam out a couple of my projects before the baby comes.
As for recommending a shop I'm not sure, never paid a shop to work on a vehicle.
I HATED the HOA I lived in in AZ and pretty sure by the regular fines that they hated me too. lol

Sounds like you might be committed to doing this yourself. For local shops in the area stated, I have had good business with KC Martin automotive. They also have a transmission shop, both in Lynnwood. They do good work for maintenance and fixing OEM type problems, and are our go to for fixing old vehicles while I'm at sea. They do not seem real receptive to custom building stuff, it's an in and out kind of shop. OnB Auto was also recommended to me but I have not done business with them yet. The initial phone interview went well, they seem to be responsive, knowledgable, and more willing to get involved in custom engine work.
IF there is a shop that deals with more fun creative stuff than the local commuter in and out work, I want to know too.

ONB automotive repair in Everett is a good place. Dave Kerr is the owner. 425-317-9618 Their prices are very good and the quality of work is great.
What ever you do, DO NOT GO TO PRECISION TRANSMISSION. I made that mistake. My C6 needed to be rebuilt. The owner Bill Wright said that a rebuild normally runs between $600 -and a max of $900. I told him to go ahead and do it. When he called to let me know it was done it cost $1675! Nothing but excuses from that place. I was under the truck today and found all kinds of missing bolts and the main driveshaft support bearing was dangling by only 2 bolt threads!!! That would have been exciting to have the drive shaft fall out while driving.
