Progress ??
Well, here is the update as of yesterday....I was supposed to get my truck back about three weeks ago but there have been some horrific problems I along the way.
I am getting a brand new FORD RACING BOSS 302CID 345Hp...it took an extra two weeks to get it.
Edelbrock intake manifold, and an Edelbrock 4bbl carb.
The suspension is a HEIDTS Mustang II suspension.
The steering will be power rack and pinion through a Chrome Flaming river tilt steering column
Now for my tale of woe....
The problems rest mostly with HEIDTS....they shipped the kit with the wrong pitman arms, the wrong pitman arm boots, the rooters were missing in the box so they sent another set, the brake calipers are different sizes....the one side will not allow the standard wheels to be mounted without rubbing the rim on the inside.
So now I am waiting for Heidts to send the correct parts....hopefully they will be in the shop by mid week and I get my baby by the end of next week.
I have been dreaming of driving a 1951 F1 with a 345hp engine matched with a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission.
Oh sure I go in for weekly visitation, but that is sort of like taking your sister on a date.....
I did upload a picture into my gallery of the new engine so you guys can see why I might be going crazy......PMS in my house is directly related to the last phone call from the shop.
