Black Rock rim?

I am wondering if any one has experience or heard or seen anything on the Black Rock rims? I am looking at a few different sets of there steel rims 16"x 8" or 17" x 9" rims. I know they are not hub centric but like the looks of them, here is a link to a set at Summit Racing http://www.summitracing.com/parts/br...8145/overview/ or http://www.summitracing.com/parts/br...8145/overview/

They've caught my eye once or twice. They would require you to convert to a conical seat lug nut, so you wouldn't need them to be hub centric. I did notice that they are made in the USA, I've been thinking about ordering a set for my new tires...

I wouldn't worry about the change of lug nuts, my aftermarket wheels required that too. No issues. Think to keep a eye on the wt ratings of steel wheels though. Some have a low rating. Also, my experience is the powder coated steels start to rust faster than you think they should. Another reason I went alumnum.

These are rated at 3k a piece. And the rust is the main reason I haven't pulled the trigger. Though if you were just getting them for winter tires that might not be an issue.

I like these too, and the price isn't bad. 3200k rating as well.

My wheels are rebel racing. I don't remember the wt rating, but they are over 3200 pounds.

They where not bad price for a 16x10 either. Think I paid around $115 each.

Black Rock is made by Pro Comp I believe, my brother was looking at them for his 4x4 Van and I looked at them for my truck as well before going with the ATX Mojave. Nice looking wheels, should look great on your EX. The lugs are no problem, my Mojaves are lug centric and havent had a problem with them. Torque them down to man specs and do it in a X pattern, so they seat evenly

Sorry to Hijack.....

Dave did you use those center caps on your EX, they are same as the caps for my ATX Mojave and the rears wont fit over the bolts on the axle without getting wedged and distorted, are the front open ended?

I'm just starting to look & decide which size then start saving money. What's everyone's opinion on 17" rims & tires, seems more options for 35"-37" sizes.

17"s work well under these heavy trucks, I just swapped out the stockers for the ATX in 17x8. Takes some of the sidewall and flex out of the tires, but still leaves enough to air down if you like to wheel.

Nope, didn't use the centers. the rears didn't fit. They sent me some chrome steel centers that do fit, but I'd rather have black.
