Finally here!

Finally!!!!! My 2014 6.2 F250 CC I ordered Dec. 20 arrived Monday at the dealer. I had them take it to a local Line-X dealer Tuesday and picked it up yesterday Feb. 26. I haven't had the chance to really drive it far but possibly this weekend. I think I'm really going to like it. I will post pics when I can take a photo in the daytime. Now I need to buy a cow catcher and build a headache rack.

Cool!!
I'm diggin' mine!
Run it hard and spin it fast - you can't hurt it. There are good reasons why Ford kept that big steel bottom end.

Best of luck! You will not be disappointed. Giver her time to break in. At about 5G miles she comes into her own. The gear shifts will improve. I have 10G trouble free miles on my 13' and love it. Pixs please.....

They are built to haul .Yesterday I picked up my new dump trailer a 14' deckover . it towed it better with trailer attached than when it runs empty , I have never had a truck that runs so good with a load, these are sweet trucks. You will be pleased. The more you work it the happier it will be. Congratulations.

I'm interested to see how it compares to your old powerstroke. Why didn't you get another powerstroke? I'm not trying to bother you, just interested in your opinion.

I haven't pulled a trailer yet so the difference in towing between my old and new truck remains to be seen. The most obvious difference so far is you can feel the difference in torque even empty. However, I'm not disappointed in it's ability to get moving when you want to. Most of the time I'll be towing under 8k so I'm not too concerned. The reasons I didn't buy a new powerstroke? First and foremost, I will be driving the truck to work about 50% of the time at only 4 miles. Not enough time for a gasser to get good and hot, let alone a diesel. My 7.3 only got 15 mpg empty on the road, 10 mpg towing. My gasser will come close to that at much cheaper fuel. I might be paranoid but with the complexity of the new diesels, the possibility of ending up with a 10K repair bill in a few years scares the crap out of me. I don't trade very often. I also had a price cap I had set for a new truck and a new diesel would have far surpassed that.

I pretty much feel the same way as Jeepnford only I drive 15 miles to work but even thats still not enough time for the new diesels to heat up, unless I like to drive in regen all the time.

I took delivery of my 2014 last month and so far after 800 miles I'm a happy camper. Oh and the 2014 is replacing a stock 92 F250 diesel I've had for over 20 years.

This is sort of related. I got told today you can't order a 2014 anymore, they're going to start building the 2015's. From what I read they are still pretty much the same for the 6.2L versions.

I sure hope this is not set in stone, I want a 6.2 in a SD. I might have to go the 150 route if I can,t locate one. And I do not want a diesel. Not that it is a bad motor, just not for me. I will keep my fingers crossed til I get my $ together. I would prefer to order to my specs, rather than settle for my second choice.

BTW where did you read this? On a forum or an article somewhere. Thanks for the heads up any way.

You can still get the 6.2 in a SD for 2015 they are starting to make the 2015 early because of the changes to the 6.7. But i believe the 6.2 will be dropped from the F150.

The salesman at my dealership told me, I was pricing a truck I was going to order. You can still get the 6.2L in the SD for 2015. It sounds like they are going to be almost the same truck, the only difference from what I can tell is they bumped up the output of the 6.7L diesel.

6.2 is still available in 2015. I just ordered mine last monday and nothing has really changed mechanically except the bigger torque converter. The 4:30 rearend is still available as I ordered that also. 6-8 weeks for delivery. If you want to see the new colors you have to go to the Ford F-150 site.
