tilt front end or not?
I am getting close to putting the sheet metal back on so this is my question I need both front fenders, grill and the hood needs some work. That being said I am looking at a 1 piece tilt front end like the one from Just Pick Up Parts
http://www.pickuppartsdirect.com/On-LineStore/]Autobody Parts
They have 1 for $1799.00 which is not that far off from the cost of 2 upper & lower fenders and grill. Now has anyone used a tilt front end set up? How hard was it to do? Would you do it again, if you were starting over? Last questions has anyone bought from Just Pick Up Parts, if so how was the quality & any problems

Tom... this is a major project... you need welding, fabricating, fibergalss, body filler skills and a humoungous vocabulary in expletives... No matter what the advertising hype and salesman tells you... this ain't no bolt on... We spent countless hours trying to persuade mine to fit the cab... the article below will give you some ideas
going full tilt - installing a fairlane tilt front end on a '53 f-100
there are several guys here tht have done them and I'll bet my paycheck they will agree with me on the amount of work necessary... that's just to get the tilt part done.... if you wanna slide / tilt... it adds exponentially to the work..
would I do it again..... heck yes !!! the coolness outweights the trouble...

Hey Tom,
I think FTE Houston regular Topper (Topmoo) did it on his '51 successfully.
I'm sure he'd be glad to give you pointers on it. His build thread is here - look starting around page 5...
