Thread size for pressure port in fuel rail?

I want to run a fuel gauge via a line from the fuel rail. I have an 89 f250 with the 460 and EFI. There is a test port on the fuel rail on the pass side, threaded into the rail. I want to take the test port out to run the line. Could anybody tell me the thread size in the rail. Thanks.

I don't know what the size is but you will need to remove the valve assembly from the fuel rail and attach fittings directly.

The overall diameter, as best I can tell would be around .3 + -, which would be 5/16-24? But if anybody knows for sure, as I don't have anything here that size for reference, and I will have to order the appropriate cable assembly to get to the cab... Thanks.

It should be a 1/16" NPT port. You'll find that there are a number of adapters available on the market to connect a gauge to the port via -4AN line.

For example: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-3275/overview/

I don't recall which brand of 1/16" NPT to -4AN adapter I used, but I run that very setup on my XR7 to an underhood fuel pressure gauge (visible from the driver's seat, but outside the cabin). If you're mounting your gauge inside the cabin, either use an isolator or run an electric gauge. Do not run a high pressure fuel line into the cabin.

OK just checked the price of an isolator. Looks like this guy is going under the hood. Real nice XR7 BTW!
