I changed fuel filters over the weekend. Did the 6 cycles with the key 30 plus seconds each time . The fuel pump seems a lot louder than it was before the change out. Truck runs fine. The old filters had 14k on them, the lower was some what dirty with one spot of slim about the size of a quarter. The upper bowl and filter was clean. I know 10k changes some how I got confused. I change oil every 5k and filters every other oil change. I was adding this oil change to my chart I keep and noticed it was past due for filters.

There is a Banks 6 Gun tuner for sale local , add says never installed. Would there be any advantage to buying and installing this on a stock truck with 112k miles.

I don't know why your fuel pump would seem louder, changing the filter shouldn't have anything to do with the operation of the pump, noise wise. As far as the banks six gun is concerned some here have used them without a problem, I have no background with them.
