sliding bucket seats- any way to stop them short???
I'm sure that SOMEONE has encountered this before.... I have a 95 f-150, ext. cab, and we're expecting our second child. Up until now, it's been fine, beacuse my son's car seat has been in the center, between the seats.... but what is going to happen when we need to add a second seat come mid november?
Is there anyway to stop the passenger side seat from going the entire way back when you tilt and slide it forward? I would much rather keep the second child on the pass. side, so (s)he would be visible from the drivers seat if necessary.
I won't put a child in the front seat, whether in a seat or not, it's just my thoughts on that.... I guess I could always put my son on the pass. side, since he faces forward, and just keep the rear facing seat in the center, but I'm sure that there has to be a way to stop the seat from going the whole way back and cramping him everytime we need to move the seat back.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Brian

I have ran into a similar problem with my B2.. I think you may be able to run a screw or bolt with a large head thru the tracks. This would prevent the upper seat portion from going past. In theory, it would let you go fwd, but not all the way back.
Good luck!

There is a "bar" close to the floor under the seat that, if held inplace while pushing the seat back, will make the seat stop at the first position. I believe that info is in the owner's manual if you have on. Hope this helps.
