F250 Dually?

Bought this truck recently, it's a 1990 F250 Dually 4x4 xtra cab. Has a 460ci and e40d that I just had rebuilt. Is there any way to tell if this is a factory setup vs a conversion? Some kind of VIN check?

I bought a nice pair of rear fenders for it, and a front clip from a 1994 F350. I use it for towing my boats. I want to level the front end and lift the truck about 2-3". The way it current sits the hitch is too low for most of the boats I tow. Suggestions on lifts to accomplish that are appreciated as well. I'm going to sell the current front clip pictured as well, other than faded paint its very clean.

Here's some pics.

There never was a F250 dually from the factory, it's a conversion.

RLA is Correct. It is a conversion of some sorts.

I am sure you will find spacers in the rear and adapters in the front. Along with a butchered bed to put the fenders on(NOT factory ford fenders, they are one off conversion fenders that are completely different than the factory ones)

Arrowcraft is a company that makes conversion parts

Another thing is that it is a 4x4, as far as I know there weren't factory 4x4 duallies. Right, guys?

EDIT: Also, besides those fenders, that is a spiffy looking ride you've got.

What do you mean pickup form? Like with the bed, as opposed to cab & chassis?

IFS, I wish it had a straight axle, and I'm sure before too long it will.

The rear would have 3" spacers bolted on to the lug studs and then the 2 dually wheels would bolt to that.

For the front, there would be a 6" spacer that bolts on to the lug studs then the tire would bolt to that

Here is what a Singe wheel front looks like

Here is a factory Front dually hub(top of pic) 2" spacers in lower part of pic

And stock rear dually axle

Here are some pics of the Arrowcraft spacers/adapters

Correct. All duallys that are pre-super duty were only available in 2wd except for cab and chassis trucks. Also, all duallys are F350, there was never any F250 dually from the factory. I would be interested in the front dually adapters if your interested in going back to single wheel.

As far as how to lift it, go with lift springs. If you ever plan to off road, don't go with lift blocks or body lift. If you're only lifting it because of the trailer height, I'm assuming you're using a bumper ball instead of a receiver hitch. If this is the case, take out that ball and bolt on a receiver with a raise hitch. A receiver is very cheap compared to a lift and won't open up a can of worms called suspension

Would spacers like this make a trucks turning radius terrible? There's not enough room on a 6 lane freeway for a uturn in this truck.
